I am deeply saddened and shocked about Ed's passing. He was a good friend while we went to school together.  I was looking forward to seeing him, but maybe now seeing him in a better place will be the thought.

My sincere thoughts and prayers go to his family.

He will be missed

I just saw the  news about Ed.  This really saddens me deeply. Ed and I were good friends in Drama and after we graduated. Iwas looking forward to seeing him again.  Dave Stough

Ed and I were friends and hung out a bit through high school, so this was sad news to hear. I haven't been back to Wichita since our 10 year reunion and was hoping to get to see him. A funny story in my family was the time my mom came home from work to find Ed standing in our bathtub (clothed!) and I was cutting his hair. His father had told him to get his hair cut for some event and he knew I liked to cut hair. The bathtub seemed like an easy place to clean up afterward, but we hadn't thought it might seem odd to my family.

I can still hear Ed's voice and inflection: he was the "cool" guy I wanted to be. Too many stories to tell, and not sure that statutes of limitations have expired on some. Hurts to see that he's passed. m

I think it was a little more than a year ago that Ed and I got to visit.  His brother, Nelson and I work together.  We were really just beginning to catch up some, through occasional phone conversations.  It felt just like a suckerpunch when Nelson walked up and told me.  Seems like Ed had his life arranged just the way he wanted it.  I don't know a great number of people that that pull that off.  He is really missed.
