Joanne Smoll Fisher died Dec. 13, 1995 of a brain tumor. She left behind her husband, Ron, and two daughters and a son. Joanne & I had been close friends since grade school. She was a gentle, kind person who enjoyed a good laugh. While trying to come up with any possible cause for her tumor, she remembered that we had squeezed iris flowers for "juice" for our troll dolls (this was grade school) and might have tried drinking the stuff. We laughed at this thought while mourning her illness.

Joanne was an amazingly brave person in her last years and days. She constantly thought of and did for others. Wish she was here.
