Tonya P. Brown, age 67, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her home in Topeka.  Tonya was born October 4, 1953 in Wichita, KS and spent her early years in New Jersey.  She returned to Wichita, attending Dunbar, Horsemann, and graduating from Wichita North High School.  She worked as an LPN for the American Red Cross on the Blood Mobile and was later director of the Bone Marrow Program in Wichita.  She also worked as an in-home caretaker and later a delivery driver for Tillie’s Flowers.  After losing her sight, Tonya moved to Topeka to attend the Kansas School for the Blind.  Upon completion of the program, Tonya was placed at the Kansas State Capitol building where she served as a volunteer at the Visitor’s Center for over 10 years...
