Most of my memories of Deborah are not from North High, but of our time spent in elementary school at Pleasant Valley.   As our last names both started with P, when we were in the same class we often set near each other.   I remember her as kind, sensitive, and thoughtful.   My condolences to her family.

I remember Debbie from as early as 2nd grade. We were young girls together and good friends; overnights, brownies, girl scouts, just spending time.  She was Miss America Beautiful, with the most serene, angelic smile. She was sweet and kind, singing like a bird in the North High mixed choir and The Nocturnes. I remember her wedding. Ten years ago at our 40th reunion, Debbie was there in a wheelchair, lovely as ever, courageous as ever. I am so sad. I'll always hold Debbie close in my heart.

I had the privilege of singing in Nocturnes with Debbie. She was a sweet, gentle, kind, and thoughtful person. She had a radiant, beautiful smile. I have many wonderful memories of times we all had together. She was a person of strong faith, and I have no doubt she is STANDING now, and singing praises to the God she loved and served. Rest in peace, Debbie. Well done, good and faithful servant. I will look for you in Heaven one day.

I knew Debbie from 4th grade, through Pleasant Valley Jr High.  She was part of the carpool we had to North because none of the PV kids got bus rides to North. Our moms drove until we could drive. Debbie was a great friend, so beautiful and always had a smile for us.  I hadn’t talked with her much since high school but am so sad for her family to lose her so soon.  I wish her life would have been easier but know she is now with her Lord and is whole and healthy.
