I didn't know Dennis well; he was pretty good friends with my boyfriend Mark Sengstacken (also now deceased). But my memories are of a smart, funny, sweet guy. I remember being quite surprised to find that he had rescued and had in his bedroom a rather large psychedelic painting of a woman that Cindy Witherspoon and I did for a musical production with tunes from Hair.
